International Dorm Life

Mabuhay po! Hallo! After VRU send us to watpangiw school, we stay at school dormitory with 5 chinesse student who teach in wat pangiw. I really enjoy the athmosphere of International dorm life. There are 7 indonesian, 3 filipinos and 5 chinesse student living in same door.

My room mate is Fanni, Ari and Cath. Cath is the one from philippines, she's so humble an funny. Cath's friends, jean and al usually come to my room and share everything. Food, drink and story in our country. Al asked about why most of indonesian using veil and cant eat pork. And we so happy to share about that.

So, sea teacher not only give me experience in teaching activity, but also how to survive of living with people from different country, different religion and different culture. We learn about each other to grow our tolerance. I'm really grateful of beinng part of this program.

To Infinity and Beyond

"Up in the clouds on my way to unknown things" - unknown Finally, I have choosen as participant of SEA-Teacher project Batch 7. I really grateful because it like my dream comes true. Going abroad, far from home but learn something new. All of things that I cant found in Indonesia before. So, SEA-Teacher Project or the "Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia" is project from SEAMEO that provide the student tecaher to have experience teache in school in others country. And lucky me, I'm going to Thailand. My university sent 18 student teacher to go Thailand and Philippines. I'm going to thailand with my friend, Fannisa from pre-school program. Evaluation Time

it's time, when my supervisor from VRU come to see my teaching practice. I prepared everything for about 3 days, and feel nervous when the day is come. Dr. Pimlak come earliear when i lunch. I teach p.1/1 for evaluation time. My lovely children, because there are kaimuk, kanoon, preaw and frshy. They're so cute and adorable. I teach about volume measurement. And try to use instructional media like bootles and flash card. Well, everything goes well and i enjoyed my evaluation time. I know my weaknees and strong in teaching. Both Dr. Pimlak or Teacher mel give me much advice how to teaching well. Thanks for everything SEA-Teacher.

My Teacher Mentor : Teacher Mel

' A good education can change anyone. A good teacher can change everything.' - unknown During this program, wat pangiw give me a teacher mentor from philippines, the student usually call her teacher mel. So, she accompany me and introduce me to all EP (English Program) class. She gave me class P.1/1, P.2/1 and P.5/1 to teach. And she also give me advice about making lesson plan. We should making lesson plan before teach in the class. It contain topics and details activity that gonna do in class. On the first week, all i do just observe the class and sometimes help her to teach. In the class, she usually use cooperative learning methods. So the student can explore the subject, and teacher just give some main point of subject. Or the class usually discuss about the topics, and she will call student by number to repeat the explanation. The learning material that she usually use are book from school and student worksheet. She doesnt use multimedia or slide presentat...
